Housing

Building Maintenance

This team is responsible for managing and undertaking general day to day reactive and emergency repairs within the Council’s housing stock.

Housing Management

They are responsible for the day to day management of the council’s housing stock including rent arrears recovery, general tenancy management, resident engagement and complaints of anti-social behaviour.

Council homes

Housing Needs and Allocations

The team's responsibilities include management of the housing register, letting of Council and Housing Association properties (for which we have nomination rights), providing housing options advice and homelessness prevention.

Grounds Maintenance

We provide an in-house maintenance service at over 100 sites across the Housing estate. The team is tasked with keeping the sites in a presentable and safe conditions for the tenants and the work covers grass cutting, shrub maintenance, hard landscape maintenance and hedge cutting.

Property Services

Our team is responsible for the effective delivery of day to day reactive repairs, planned maintenance, improvements and modernisation of the Council's housing stock. They are also responsible for health and safety compliance within the housing stock and wider Council assets such as depots, pavilions and public conveniences.
